Rebeca “Becky” Alvidrez was born and raised in the borderlands, and feels that the opportunity to work at Abara allows her to connect with her roots and apply first hand experiences to Abara’s mission. Her passion is to be able to capture moments through photography, art, and video, and she also serves in this area in her local church. Becky adores traveling and as always planning her next overseas trip. 

A skilled Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Media Specialist, Becky studied at UT El Paso earning a Double Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Media Advertising. With a diverse portfolio spanning graphic design, video production, animation, and print media, Rebeca brings creativity, technical expertise, and strategic vision to every project. 

Her professional experience includes crafting impactful visual content and managing social media strategies for platforms, helping brands connect with their audiences through engaging and innovative campaigns. Rebeca’s ability to blend artistry with marketing insight is a gift to Abara. She is also a wonderful, warm guide for our border encounter participants, always willing to share honestly about her experiences as a borderlander.
